IHC benches adjourn hearing of tax matters filed against Customs Appellate Tribunal, ATIR

ISLAMABAD: A number of tax matters challenging Customs Appellate Tribunal and Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue’s decisions were adjourned by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) during the first week of June.

M/s United Express, M/s MND Exploration and  Production Limited, M/s Capgas (Private) Limited, M/s Shalimar Diplomatic Bonded Warehouse and FBR officials had filed such cases before the IHC.

Justice Noor-Ul-Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah heard the custom reference of M/s United Express against Customs Appellate Tribunal and adjourned its hearing.

M/s Shalimar Diplomatic Bonded Warehouse, Islamabad had filed three customs references against Customs Appellate Tribunal, Islamabad. Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard and adjourned hearing of three customs references.

Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb also heard the case filed by M/s MND Exploration & Production Limited.

Justice Noor-Ul-Haq N. Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah heard the sales tax case filed by M/s Capgas Private, M/s Ruby Jeweler and Commissioner Inland Revenue of Federal Board of Revenue pleas against the ATIR. The court adjourned hearing of these cases with directions to submit documents on next hearings.
