IHC benches adjourns hearing of tax references for next month

ISLAMABAD: Two division benches of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday adjourned the hearing of tax references challenging decisions of the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR).

A division bench of the IHC comprising Justice Noor-Ul-Haq N. Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah heard a sales tax matter filed against the ATIR by an FBR officer. This reference was filed by commissioner Inland Revenue and the bench adjourned the hearing for next month.

This case was filed by M/s Pakistan Oil Field Limited and the appellant had challenged the decision of ATIR through the petition.
