IHC dismisses reference filed by RTO due to non-prosecution

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) dismissed an income tax reference filed by Regional Tax Officer (RTO) due to non-prosecution.

IHC Division Bench, comprising of Justice Noor ul Haq N Qureshi and Justice Aamer Farooq heard the reference filed against Customs Appellate Tribunal and others and dismissed it as the commissioner income tax, Islamabad did not pursue the proceedings of the court.

During the course of proceedings, the bench also adjourned hearing of a reference filed against commissioner of income tax, Islamabad. The bench dated the case in office for setting further date of hearing after winter vacations. The reference was filed by Sardar Tanveer Ilyas.

Meanwhile, the bench also dismissed six other references filed by additional collector of sales tax against Electric Concerns Private Limited.
