IHC hears M/s Amson’s case against blocking NTN

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday heard case filed by M/s Amson Vaccines and Pharma Private Limited seeking restoration of its national tax number (NTN).

IHC division bench comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddique and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani adjourned case hearing until first week of February.

The company had filed the petition challenging the Federal Board of Revenue’s action in which it had blocked NTN of the said company and issued a demand notice, dated December12, 2015, to the company.

FBR had blocked company’s NTN and issued the demand notice after the company failed to submit ‘consumption chart within 60 days’ of imported rubber, gasket and bulk needles.

The petitioner had prayed the court to direct FBR for restoring its suspending NTN and setting aside the demand notice issued to the company.
