IHC postpones hearing reference filed by M/s Pak Telecom Mobile Limited

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday adjourned the hearing of an Income Tax Reference (ITR) involving chargeable Federal Excise Duty (FED) amounting to Rs 5 billion.

A division bench of the IHC comprising Justice Noor ul Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah, heard  two interlinked income tax references. The bench adjourned hearing after brief arguments by the parties.

The company had challenged ATIR decision regarding chargeable duty FED mounting to Rs 5 billion and had sought a stay on the ATIR verdict which had authorized the FBR to deduct the said amount.
