IHC rejects petitions filed by M/s Pak Saudi Fertilizer against LTU

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has dismissed a couple of petitions filed by M/s Pak Saudi Fertilizer against the Large Taxpayer’s Unit (LTU).

The cases were enlisted for a division bench of the IHC, comprising Justice Noor ul Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah.

The bench dismissed the petitions (tax references) due to non-prosecution. The bench found that the appellant were not taking part in court proceedings relating to the cases it had filed against LTU’s commissioner income tax and other officers.

LTU counsel, Advocate Farhat Nawaz Lodhi attended court’s proceedings regularly while no advocate on behalf of the appellant were present in the court.

Following the consistent absence of appellant party, the court’s division bench dismissed cases due to non-prosecution.
