IHC reserves verdict on case filed by M/s Mumtaz Construction Company Private Ltd

ISLAMABAD: A single bench of Islamabad High Court on Thursday reserved its decision on a case filed against Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

IHC single bench comprising Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the case filed by Mumtaz Construction Company Private Limited. The court reserved decision on the matter after hearing both side arguments.

The appellant had challenged LTU show cause notice that it had issued to the appellant in early months of this year. The appellant had filed case with IHC following ATIR had maintained the decision announced by department’s adjudication in favor of tax recovery claim made by LTU.

Mumtaz Construction Company Private Limited had filed the cases against LTU, Islamabad and had made deputy commissioner Inland Revenue the main respondent along with ATIR.  Meanwhile, the court adjourned hearing of another case filed by M/s Noor Flour and General Mills.

M/s Noor Flour and General Mills had also field the case against LTU, however had made additional commissioner Inland Revenue the main respondent along with other officers of LTU including the commissioner Inland Revenue.
