I&I Quetta recovers smuggled goods from three trucks worth Rs102m

QUETTA: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) has seized huge quantity of smuggled goods worth Rs102 million.

Sources said that under the supervision of Director Muhammad Ismail and Additional Director Abdul Hayee Sheikh, the ASO team led by Inspector Hamid Habib has enhanced the vigilance and strengthened intelligence network to check transportation of smuggled goods.

Based on information, the  I&I team intercepted three vehicles carrying smuggled/banned goods during last week. The seized goods include Linear Alkyl Benzene, Cashew Nuts and ladies cloth.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation team registered a case of smuggling against suspects and started investigations.

It is necessary to mention here that Pakistan Customs adopted a comprehensive strategy to curb smuggling in the region and are using all available resources to thwart any attempt of smuggling.
