Sources told Customs Today that during first four months of FY-2015, Hybrid vehicles’ import remained 3,200 as compare to 1,347 in the same period of 2014 which shows an increase of 23 percent.

Moreover, during the first four months, from July to October, at least 326 buses and trucks were imported. The main reason of the increased in the import is exemption in tax and duty. On the other hand, the prices of these imported used vehicles are almost the same as compare to the local vehicles.
