Importers face difficulties in filing GDs as WeBOC not working

KARACHI: The importers are facing difficulties in order to file their Goods Declaration (GDs), as the WeBOC System is not working properly.

The importers were of the view that their GDs did not proceed throughout the day due to the non-operation of WeBOC, a computerised system.

One of the importers while talking to Customs Today said that the WeBOC System has not been working since Thursday night and his filed GDs stuck in the system.

It is worth mentioning that the Customs Department is going to bring some amendments in the WeBOC computerised system.

Additional Director WeBOC Irfan Javed has informed Customs Today that the management was in the phase to bring some positive amendments in WeBOC System and those amendments would finalise within a week.

The importers and other stake holders were optimistic that the new amendments in WeBOC will definitely helpful for the trade and stakeholders.
