Importers facing hardships at PIC Terminal

KARACHI: Importers are facing hardships due to unnecessary hurdles by Pakistan International Containers Terminal these hurdles result in delay of consignments. Importers have to bear financial loss of million of rupees.

Talking to Customs Today one importer Saleh Khan said that staff deployed on these Terminals are sending samples of their consignments for verification to harass them. Nowadays if one importer did not contact the officials deployed on Terminals they cannot able put their consignments for examinations. After that consignments are opened for days in the name of examinations, and this the main reason that theft become  a routine matter.
