Importers appreciate Collector Farid Qureshi for resolving issues

KARACHI: The importers have lauded the performance of Collector Appraisement West Dr Farid Iqbal Qureshi over his active support and cooperation in resolving the issue of grounding the containers at the Karachi International Containers’ Terminal (KICT).

The importers community has written a letter of thanks to the collector appraisement west for taking keen interest in resolving their issues. The community acknowledged the efforts of the customs officers deployed at the KICT in connection with resolving the issues of grounding the containers at the terminal.

It may be mentioned here that the importers were facing immense issues in connection with grounding the containers at KICT. Reacting upon the complaints, the collector appraisement west told the terminal officials to resolve the issues and give maximum facilities to the importers. Following the directives, the services at KICT was improved in three days. The delay and backlog at the terminal is also being removed.
