The step of import has been slowed down as a result of dropping sales. Since more and more imported models which are best seller can be made in China, the demand of import decreases.

The statistics show that 62.2% of imported automobiles in this district, about 49,000, were manufactured in Europe, a decrease of 20.8% year on year. 12,000 units were imported from America, a year-on-year decrease of 15.1%. 9,000 were imported from Japan, a year-on-year decrease of 39.5%. 7,000 were imported from Mexico, a year-on-year decrease of 29.4%.

As the market demand in China has changed a lot, the imports of passenger vehicles of large and middle size drops apparently while that of the small-size rises considerably. This change means that international automobile manufacturers have to pay more attention to the individual demand in China, especially the ordinary person’s, as the reform of bus further carried forward.
