KARACHI: Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Iftikhar Vohra has said that good governance is vital for becoming an economic power in the region.
He said this, while addressing the corporate dinner organised by Department of Commerce, University of Karachi.
The KCCI president said that improved law and order situation would highly motivate the foreign investors to invest in the country and help boost economy to a very large extent.
Vohra said that Pakistan is blessed with rich of natural resources and we have a great potential of becoming a developed nation and only economic friendly policies are needed in this regard.
Prof Dr Khalid Iraqi, Dean, Faculty of Business and Administrative Sciences, said that “we invite the corporate executives to our departments and help bridge the gap between the academia and the corporate sector”.
Prof Dr Tahir Ali, Chairman, Commerce Department KU, said that the purpose of this programme is to bridge the gap between the academia and the corporate industry. The students who have organised this workshop deserve appreciation.
