Income tax not deducted from landlords on wheat purchase

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Food Department has refuted news item about alleged irregularities in purchase of Wheat by the department and said that facts were distorted in the news item.

It said the food department purchased Wheat from federal department PASCO and local landlords as per laws and rules, adding that tax was not deducted from local landlords rather the equipments and other agricultural products were exempted from tax.
