Independence Day: FBR, FTO, Excise, PRA offices to remain closed today

LAHORE: Following the 68th Independence Day of Pakistan, the offices of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO), Excise and Taxation and Punjab Revenue Authority will remain closed on August 14 (today).

According to a circular issued here from Excise directorate, all office including regional and district offices will be off on the eve of 68th Independence Day of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, a flag hoisting ceremony will be held at Transport House Edgerton Road, Lahore where high officials and staff of the excise will participate. Secretary Excise and Taxation Ali Tahir will raise the flag of Pakistan in this regard.

A seminar will also be held there to show solidarity with the martyrs of August 14, 1947 and martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar who were killed by terrorist on December 16, 2014.

Similarly, all regional offices of FTO and headquarters will also close on that prestigious day. FTO will start its working on Monday.

Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik will also hoist the National Flag atop LHC building on account of Independence Day.
