VADODARA: Railway police seized 92 kilogram of ganja from a train here the other day. The ganja was found packed in plastic sacks in the toilet of the general coach of Puri-Ahmedabad Express.
“The police seized the ganja during its routine patrolling exercise. The sacks were found in the toilets at around 4.45 am. Since it was in the general coach, it was difficult to track the accused. However, we are carrying out investigations to track down the accused,” said Bharuch railway police sub inspector P N Gamiti.
Gamiti added that the inspection was carried out in the train that was running between Bharuch and Vadodara. The ganja was seized near Vadodara and later handed over to Bharuch railway police.
The accused identified as Sanjay Behra, Toofan Behra and Satyanarayan Muni were arrested by SOG’s special patrolling squad. All three were natives of Ganjam district of Odisha.
