KERALA: India Customs officials have seized about 400 gm of gold from two Sri Lankan nationals at the Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery here the other day.
The two women, Fathima Ansar and Rafeeqa Dawood, arrived at the airport here the other day.
Officials said they concealed the gold inside special pockets sewn into their burqas.
The gold bars were coated with silver and are estimated to be worth about Rs.13 lakh in the market.
