DELHI: Indian mobile manufacturer has introduced a new line up of Smartphone called the Platinum series and the first Smartphone under this series will be Karbonn Platinum P9. However, the phone is not yet listed on the company’s official website but can be grabbed from e retailer Snap deal as well as from retail stores in India. The Smartphone is priced at Rs. 8,899 and is available only in Black colour.
The phone flaunts a 6-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and runs on Android 4.4.4 Kit Kat. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The dual SIM device sports an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a secondary 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Recently, Micromax launched a 13-megapixel front facing camera Smartphone Canvas Selfie but it is priced at INR 15,999. Connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5 mm audio jack, micro USB, and Bluetooth options. It packs a 2500mAh battery.
Looking at the features and price of the Smartphone, it will compete with other mid range Smartphone like Yu Yureka, Huawei Ascend GX1, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and many more.
