Indian police clutch 4 smugglers

RAJOURI: The police seized two Tata mobile vehicles loaded with eight bovine animals and arrested four smugglers in Thannamandi area here the other day.

Reports said that a police party led by SI Mukesh Sharma during naka at Chharhung bridge intercepted two vehicles No. JK02AN/9557 and JK-11/0866 and found 8 bovine animals loaded in them. Both the vehicles were on way to Kashmir via Mughal Road. The four occupants failed to provide valid documents for the transportation of the animals to police party.

The police seized the vehicles along with animals and arrested all the four accused persons namely- Iftikhar Hussain,, son of Lal Hussain from Saim Smith, Sakinder Hussain, son of Mir Hussain from Kotedhara, Shahid Qamar, son of Qamar Din and Mir Hussain, son of Jalal Din from Kotedhara. A case FIR No. 95/ 2015 was registered against them.
