UDHAMPUR: Indian Police seized more than 6 kg charas and nabbed three smugglers here the other day.
Reports said that acting on specific information, a Police party, led by SHO Udhampur Mahesh Sharma, intercepted a TATA Mobile vehicle with Registration number JK03A-1059, at Krimchi. During through search of the vehicle, 6.1 kg Charas was recovered. Police seized the Charas as well as the vehicle and also arrested the smugglers, who were identified as Bilal Ahmed of Katu Bijbehara, Anantnag, Raja Talad Taskeen of Katu Bijbehara and Mohd Aslam of Lambi Gali Udhampur.
A case under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Udhampur.
