Indian police seize 80kg of ganja

NEW DELHI: Five women, all aged around 40 years, were arrested by Yellamanchili police, late on Wednesday night, from a house in Yellamanchili town, for allegedly smuggling ganja. The police also seized 80 kg of dry ganja and Rs. 50,000 in cash from the women. The arrested were A. Rajkumar and Fancy Shanmukha Sundari from Chennai, N. Rajitha from Warangal, B. Chirulakshmi from Rolugunta mandal of Visakhapatnam Agency area and Renu Pandey from New Delhi.

According to Yellamanchili CI K. Venkat Rao, the women had taken a house on rent at Yellamanchili town about two months ago, and were into ganja smuggling.
