KARNATAK: The K.R. Pet Rural police on Friday morning seized sandalwood logs worth lakhs of rupees from two persons, allegedly involved in smuggling forest goods.
Names of the arrested have been given as S. Sankar (27) from Akki Hebbal and R. Chandra (21) from Chunchanakatte.
According to the police, the duo was apprehended during a routine checking near Lakshmipura Gate inK.R. Pet, they were carrying sandalwood logs on a motorcycle.
The police recovered the sandalwood logs from them.
According to the police, the arrested were also involved in three cases of motorcycle theft.
