MUMBAI: Indian rupee has depreciated against US dollar in early trade on Monday. Local currency declined 7 paise or 0.11 percent against dollar to trade at 63.47.
Rupee has witnessed a high of 63.45 and a low of 63.48. Its 52-week range was 59.90-64.30.
The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, fell 0.07 percent to trade at 95.95.
On Friday, rupee has remained stable against US dollar to settle at 63.39. Rupee has witnessed a high of 63.33 and a low of 63.47. Its 52-week range was 59.58-64.30.
The local markets gained on Monday. At 9.20 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 43.23 points or 0.16% at 27,704.63. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 43.10 points or 0.52% at 8,403.65.
