NEW DELHI: The visit of the 44 member Indian Trade delegation to Jaffna, with a view to further improve the trade and commercial relations between India and Sri Lanka, a 44-member Indian Trade delegation of the Young Entrepreneurs School (YES), Tamil Nadu visited Jaffna recently. The delegation consisted of young and enterprising businessmen, medium and small-scale entrepreneurs and service providers wanted to explore new avenues for improving two-way trade and industrial investment opportunities in Sri Lanka, including in Northern Province.
The Consulate General of India in Jaffna had facilitated useful interactions with local entrepreneurs, Provincial bodies of Chambers of Commerce and Industries as well as traders.
The visiting team also made market survey and had one-to-one business meetings with the prospective business people of Jaffna Peninsula.
