India’s CTF seizes 34kg dry ganja

DELHI: The City Task Force (CTF) team, led by ACP I. Chittibabu and Inspector Ilyas Mohammed, intercepted an auto carrying 34kg of dry ganja near Agnampudi tollgate and arrested four persons on Sunday. The CTF team also seized cash from the smugglers.

The arrested were identified as Bolem Kannababu and Chittiboyina Ganesh of Kobbarithota area, and Bhethu Mandal and Suraj Kumar of Bihar state.

According to ACP I. Chittibabu, both Bolem Kannababu and Chittiboyina Ganesh had been into this ganja smuggling for quite some time and would procure the contraband stuff from villages located in the interior parts of G. Madugula area in the Agency areas of Visakhapatnam district. The auto had a specially fabricated box under the seat, which could hold 17 packets of 2 kg each, said Mr. Chittibabu.

This is the second case in this week that the CTF team seized ganja in the city limits.
