MUZAFFARNAGAR: Forty-five cartons of smuggled liquor and 62 kgs of drugs were seized by a team of excise department with the help of local police from a hotel in Malira village here.
According to District Excise Officer Karunendra Singh, a raid was conducted last evening at the hotel owned by one Praveen. A maruti 800 was also recovered from the hotel.
A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and Excise Act has been registered against Praveen and another person, who are absconding, he said.
