NEW DELHI: Two Indians Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) personnel charged of asking money for release of imported car parts entered not guilty plea during their accusation before Regional Trial Court (RTC).
Respondents Mark Cabigting Paras and Bienvenido Plata II pleaded not guilty to the charges for violation of the Republic Act 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act filed against them.
Paras was assisted by lawyer Elijah Pepito, while Plata’s counsel during the arraignment was lawyer Teodoro Angel.
RTC Branch 17 Judge Evalyn Morales, in an order dated February 27, has scheduled the preliminary conference on May 11 while the pre-trial conference is set on June 5.
