Indonesia to import 201m barrels of fuel in 2015

JAKARTA: The state oil and gas company, Pertamina, plans to import 201 million barrels of fuel in 2015, according to the company’s budget and work plan (RKAP).

Documents provided by Pertamina to the House of Representatives’ Commission VII, which oversees energy, reveal that the volume of fuel imports in 2015 will increase by 23.4 percent from realized fuel imports in 2014, which reached 153.7 million barrels.

According to the 2015 RKAP, the volume of crude oil imports planned for will reach 306,460 barrels per day, or decline by 8 percent from last year’s realized imports, which reached 333,540 barrels per day.

“The 2015 RKAP shows that the volume of fuel imports will reach 201 million barrels, comprising 128 million barrels of RON 88 or Premium gasoline, 63.1 million barrels of diesel and 9.8 million barrels of avtur,” said Pertamina as quoted by Antara news agency in Jakarta.

In 2014, the realized Premium imports reached 115.4 million barrels, followed by diesel (32.1 million barrels) and avtur (6.1 million barrels).
