ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data suggested that weekly inflation for combined income group witnessed a slight increase of 0.30 per cent for the week ending March 5 as compared to the previous week.
For the lowest income group earning up to Rs8,000, the SPI witnessed an increase of 0.24pc over the previous week, while inflation for the top income group (Rs35,000 and above) was up by 0.33pc. Pakistan inflation falls to 3.24 per cent in February on year.
It was measured through the Sensitive Price Index (SPI) which monitors prices of 53 items based on the survey of markets in 17 cities. However, as compared to the corresponding week of last year, the SPI for the combined group in the week under review witnessed a decline of 2.26pc.
