MINSK: In February 2017 the index of consumer prices for goods and services totaled 100.5% as against January 2017, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee of Belarus. In January the basic index of consumer prices that disregards changes of prices for the commodities and services affected by administrative and seasonal factors was 100.2% as against January 2017. Food prices rose by 0.5% in comparison with January 2017 and by 7% from February 2016. Non-food prices went down by 0.02% and went up by 4.9% respectively. The index of prices for and tariffs on paid services totaled 101.5% as against January 2017 and 107.1% as against February 2016.
