Inland Revenue fails to prove allegations of tax evasion against City Hospital

MULTAN:  Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Inland Revenue has failed to present any evidences of tax evasion against City Hospital in their investigation.

Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation (Inland Revenue) had launched a crackdown against City Hospital on certain information regarding evasion of income tax.

During raid at City Hospital, the Customs Intelligence and Investigation (Inland Revenue) team detained all  records including laptops, hard disks, gate passes, order books, ledgers, day books, utility bills, quotation files/books .

Deputy Commissioner Intelligence and Investigations (Inland Revenue)  Akram Khan claimed after the raid that City Hospital has allegedly mis-declared the tax authorities about their actual income during initial findings . City Hospital owners had  provided all important details demanded by tax authorities and they have cooperated with department.

Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation (Inland Revenue) FBR had  taken all this action under section 175 of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001.But tax authorities failed to prove any allegation during their investigations and they may be given clean chit in the tax evasion case any time due to their negligence .

Meanwhile, City Hospital Multan has also moved to Lahore High Court Multan bench against  illegal raid of  Intelligence and Investigation Inland Revenue.
