Inland Revenue officer discharged from service, other promoted

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has discharged Ch Khurram Aziz, a probationary officer of Inland Revenue Service (BS-17) and presently posted as Assistant Commissioner (Probationer) at Regional Tax Office, Karachi, from service with immediate effect.

The said officer was discharged from services under Section 6(2)(a) of the Civil Servants Act, 1973 read with Rule 6(2)(d) of the Occupational Groups and Services (Probation, Training and Seniority) Rules, 1990 on account of his failure to qualify Final Passing Out Examination (FPOE) in four attempts.

Meanwhile, Umar Yar, Assistant Director (IRS/BS-17), Directorate of Internal Audit (Inland Revenue), Lahore, has been promoted to the post of Deputy Director (BS-18) on regular basis. The officer will continue to serve at his present place of posting on his promotion until further orders.

Moreover, Aisha Asad, (IRS/BS-17) presently posted as Assistant Commissioner, Regional Tax Office, Abbottabad, has been granted performance allowance from January 14, 2015.

As per the notification, grant of performance allowance will be governed through the terms and conditions laid down vide Circular No.1(4)M(HRM)/2012 dated 23.07.2012 and will be discontinued in case prescribed terms and conditions are not fulfilled within one month from the date of issuance of this notification.
