Interest free loans of Rs8m given to 200 women

FAISALABAD: The cheques of interest free loans worth Rs 8 million were distributed among 200 needy women in Tehsil Tandlianwala through Akhwat Micro-finance under CM self employment scheme.

Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Razaq Dogar was chief guest, while Regional Manager Akhwat Khalid Mahmood and Coordinator Muhammad Aslam Javed were also present.

Regional Manager said that Akhwat launched this programme in 2001 by providing interest free loan of Rs 10,000 and today Rs 49 billion have been distributed. He said that funds were also being provided to poor students to help them in continuing the study.
