LAHORE: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Director General Customs Intelligence and Investigations (I&I) Chaudhary Faiz Ahmad Chadhar’s home to offer condolences on his father Chaudhary Nowshair Khan Chadhar’s demise.
The two dignitaries met to pray for the departed soul at Chadhar’s residence in Gulberg, Lahore.
Several prominent personalities were present including Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Yousuf, former federal ministers Gohar Ijaz and Nauraiz Shakor.
High court senior Justices Shujaat Ali Khan, Shahram Sarwar and Asim Hafeez were also in attendance.
More attendees at the prayer meeting comprised Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Syed Asad Rahman Gilani, Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman, IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar, Ex IG Sindh Raja Riffat Mukhtar, Additional IG Zulifqar Hameed, Additional IG Mirza Faran Baig, Additional IG CTD Waseem Sial, Additional IG Tariq Abbas Qureshi and Additional Secretary Establishment Azfar Manzoor.
Meanwhile, DG Anti Corruption Sohail Zafar Chatha, DG NAB Punjab Chaudhary Amjad Aulakh, senior military and federal an provincial govt officers including additional secretary education Punjab, Ex principal secretary to CM Punjab and federal secretary GM Sikandar, Dr Amjad Saqib, Chief Commissioner Abid Raza Bodla were also present at the DG Customs’ house.
The attendees also included former federal secretary Akhlaq Tarar, former FBR chairman Asim Ahmad, Chief Collector Customs Saima Shahzad, Supreme Court & High Court Bars Ex presidents Ahsan Bhon, Muhammad Hafeez Chaudhary and Advocate Mian Ali Ashfaq.
Other prominent personalities from different walks of life included Dr Amjad Saqib from Akhuwat Foundation and Chaudhry Muhammad Arshad from Abu Dhabi Pakistani Business were also in attendance.
