Internal Audit asks Valuation directorate to furnish list of pending cases

KARACHI: The Customs Directorate of Internal Audit has asked the Directorate General of Customs Valuation to furnish a list of cases pending between 1 July 2013 and 30 June 2014.

A letter written to Deputy Director of Directorate of Customs Valuation by the Assistant Director Directorate of Internal Audit also asks to provide a set of other information required preliminary for meaningful audit.

The letter, Audit Programme in Respect of Directorate of Customs Valuation for the Month of October 2014, for the period 2013-14’ also asks the Directorate of Customs Valuation to provide other information, including a copy of all valuation advices/rulings issued during the period under audit; list of cases received during the period under audit for determination of value; list of cases finalised during the period under audit, list of valuation cases which were challenged under different forums, file opening register and monthly statement pertaining to the period under audit.
