Internal Audit-IR DG Waqar Ahmad to retire next year

ISLAMABAD: Waqar Ahmad, a BS-21 officer of Inland Revenue Service, is going to retire from the government service on attaining the age of superannuation.

The officer, presently posted as Director General, Directorate General of Internal Audit (Inland Revenue), Islamabad, will stand retired from government service with effect from April 6, 2018.

Waqar Ahmad assumed the charge of the post of Director General, Directorate General of Internal Audit (IR), Islamabad on February 8, 2016 after relinquishing the charge of Member (Administration), which he took on November 19, 2015.

Before assuming the charge as Member, he was serving as Chief Commissioner-IR at Regional Tax Office, Lahore. He has also been working as Chief Commissioner-IR at Gujranwala Regional Tax Office, which he left on July 14.
