ISLAMABAD: Chief Collector Customs North Region Asif Mehmood Jah said that Modi government of India has imposed unlawful and inhuman curfew since last 80 days where no food and medicines are available for people of held Kashmir which is condemnable while people of IOK do not know about whereabouts of their loved ones.
He was addressing a gathering with renowned artist and calligrapher Aslam Kamal here at the MCC (Model Customs Collectorate) Islamabad where Seema Raza Bokhari Collector MCC Islamabad, Dr. Arslan Director General IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) Enforcement Islamabad and Chief Guest Nazam Sharif were presented on the occasion while Customs officers and officials were also participated.
During his welcoming remarks, the Chief Collector North said Aslam Kamal designed more than 20000 book covers which is a world record. His unique writing style of Urdu is known as Khat-e-Kamal and is quite popular font for Urdu composers. Kamal was awarded Presidential Award for Pride of Performance, gold medal, best Illustrate of books Award, best Dust-Cover Designer Award. And his paintings are exhibited in different exhibitions around the world.
In his speech, the Chief Collector said that people living at LOC (line of control) are facing difficult circumstances due to Indian shelling, adding that he was with international community at LOC where his team provided medical aid and food to people. He said that “our troops are ready at LOC to answer any aggression of Indian forces”.
Artist Aslam Kmal presented an art piece (poster) on Kashmir in which a Kashmiri young girl was hanged, having no lips whereas her feet and arms were tied with robes as well as the Kashmiri girl was hanged with dollars which portray that Kashmiri people are facing current situation due to dollars because India is a huge market of billions of dollars for America, the artist explained.
In his lecture, Aslam Kamal said he was making efforts to highlight Indian atrocities against innocent people of the IoK (Indian Occupied Kashmir) through his paintings and artwork. He elaborated various aspects of painting which highlighted the hardships after abrogation of Article 370 by the India’s Modi government, adding that his painting highlighted hardships, human rights violations, curfew and restrictions in the IoK. His painting titled “India’s moodi” depicted various aspects of the human rights violations in IoK.
