Int’l e-learning programme on business from Dec 1

ISLAMABAD: The government is organising a four-day course titled “International e-Learning Program on Business Excellence” for the business community.

The National Productivity Organization (NPO) of Ministry of Industries and Production, in collaboration with Asian Productivity Organisation of Japan, is organizing the course, which is scheduled to be held from December 1-4, 2015 at Islamabad which consist on-line lectures, discussions, presentation of case studies and group exercise.

The course has been designed for government officers, academics mangers and consultants. The course is organizing for public sector through video conferencing with an aim to help public sector institutions and organizations to strengthen their current productivity improvement capabilities by using world recognized framework and best practices.

The learning programme would also introduced modern tools and techniques for performance excellence to create conducive environment for business particularly small and medium scale businesses.

The other objectives of the course are to promote the business excellence (BE) concept and assessment tools among public-sector organizations to and form national strategies for BE.

The event would also enables the participants to share international best practices of BE strategy in public-sector organizations.

Under the e-learning programme, the participants would be able to learn scope and business excellence framework and methodology for applying BE techniques to public-sector organizations. It would also help in organizational assessment techniques in BE, case studies of leading BE organizations and drafting action plans for implementing BE in the public sector.

The countries including Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines and Vietnam are participating in International e-Learning Program.
