KARACHI: The Input-Output Co-efficient Organisation (IOCO) has started to determine the input/output ratio of the exporters who applied for Duty Taxes Remission on Export (DTRE) exemption under SRO-450(I), it is learnt.
Sources informed Customs Today that the MCC-Export has sent a list of the exporters who are keen to avail DTRE exemption on the export of consignments. The IOCO has started to determine the capacity of those exporters in terms of importing raw material and exporting furnished consignments under SRO-450(I).
“The garments, textile and other export oriented sectors are included in the list of those who wanted to avail DTRE exemption on exporting the consignments,” sources added.
The IOCO has already scrutinised the data of importers/exporters on the recommendations of field formation collectorates before issuance of final certificates in terms of importing and exporting the consignments.
The sources confirmed that the authorities concerned of IOCO have put extra efforts and proper surveillance before issuance of final certificates to the importers-cum-exporters on the suggestions of field formation collectorates.
