BEIJING: iOS 8.2 and 8.3 jailbreak release could no longer happen as Chinese iOS jailbreak developers Pangu and TaiG moved on to iOS 8.4 jailbreak.

Chances are slim that iOS users will see jailbreaks for the previous versions of Apple’s operating system. According to iCrackUriDevice, developers Pangu and TaiG, who developed the previous iOS 8 jailbreak, dropped the earlier reported iOS 8.2 and 8.3 and is now working on iOS 8.4 jailbreak to ensure the longevity of the jailbreak.

The developers are working the beta versions of iOS 8.4, which is deemed “jailbreakable” after hacker Stefan Esser also known as i0n1c was able to develop untethered jailbreaks for the iOS 8.3 and iOS 8.4. Esser called his jailbreak a “proof of concept” and was merely for personal purposes. However, there is no official confirmation from the aforementioned Chinese developers yet.

Meanwhile, Apple may roll out the official version of iOS 8.4 anytime soon. The tech giant already seeded the third beta version of iOS 8.4 to developers and participating beta testers for scrutiny and to sweep the operating system off bugs and issues that may affect the overall performance of the OS.

iOS 8.4 comes with Apple’s new Beats Music streaming service and the third beta version sports has a Mini player and revamped iTunes Radio.

Gospel Herald reported that the iOS 9 release date depends on the launch of iOS 8.4. Thus, Apple will release the iOS 8.4 first, which will be the last version of iOS 8. There is a huge possibility that iOS 9 will be rolled out in Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers’ Conference on June 8.
