LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue’s Inland Revenue audit officers (auditors) have sent an application to FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa regarding their promotion in BS-17 as assistant collector.
Official told that IR inspectors were also waiting for their promotions since long as a number of senior most inspectors from 1984 to till date were working at the posts and were near to retirement.
They added that department should encourage the employees by giving them promotion timely, adding that the FBR must lay down a plan regarding the long delayed promotion of officials.
The official also said that skilled force will enhance the tax base and recovery and also enable the FBR to collect more revenue to run state affairs.
