IR-Operations Member Ashraf directs field formations to expedite tax recovery

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Inland Revenue-Operations Member Muhammad Ashraf Khan has directed all Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) and Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU) Lahore to expedite recovery of tax arrears.

Khan has issued instructions in this regard to Chief Commissioner RTO-I, Waqar Ahmed, Chief Commissioner RTO-II, Rukhasana Yasmeen, Chief Commissioner LTU, Safdar Husain and Chief Commissioners of Multan, Gujranwala and Faisalabad regions.

On the other hand, all chief commissioners chaired meetings with the commissioners and other relevant officers to make committees/teams in order to ensure the recovery of arrears by the end of December 2015.

It is important to mention here that order regarding the arrears recovery has been issued by the Ministry of Finance.
