TEHRAN: Chief of Azerbaijan’s State Border Service, Colonel General, Elchin Guliyev, met with his Iranian counterpart, Major General, Qassem Rezaei, and signed memorandums of joint efforts to combat smuggling and illegal border crossing.
The sides discussed measures to prevent smuggling and illegal border crossings. They agreed to hold such sessions in cities located near the border zone.
Huliyev has also met with Ismail Ahmadi Mugaddam, the Iranian customs chief, and discussed the problem of terrorism and drug smuggling.
