TEHRAN: Hot-rolled coil (HRC) and cold-rolled coil (CRC) import prices fell in Iran this week, mainly due to falling freight costs and modest demand.
Meanwhile, offers remained largely unchanged due to the positive sentiment in the global flat steel market. Metal Bulletin’s price assessment for imported 2mm HRC in Iran was $570-580 per tonne cfr Iranian ports on Wednesday December 20, down from $580-590 per tonne cfr a week earlier. Russia-origin HRC was available at around €465 ($549) per tonne fob Astrakhan.
