Iran’s exports to EU up 122% in Oct

TEHRAN: Iran’s exports to Europe grew 122 percent in October, in comparison with the same month in 2016, European Union’s statistics agency Eurostat reported. The figure reached €986 million in October from its previous €443 million in the same period in 2016.

Iran-Europe trade in the named month increased by 54 percent and stood at €1.85 billion compared with the tenth month of 2016 when the figure was €1.2 billion, the same report confirmed.

According to this report, Italy was the main importer of Iranian goods with imports of €381 million, registering 3.5 percent growth in comparison with October 2016.

Germany’s imports from Iran grew 20 percent year-on-year in October and hit €24 million. Spain’s imports from Iran witnessed a four-folded increase and hit $193 million. Imports of France and the Netherlands from Iran were reportedly increased in the said time.
