TEHRAN: Director of Association of Iranian Exporters of Technical and Engineering Services, Mohammad Reza Ansari, said during a conference that Iran’s annual technical-engineering exports are expected to touch $25 billion in five years.
The value of Iran’s annual technical-engineering exports is forecast to reach about $1 billion by the end of current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2015).
He said the figure can quadruple within one year by the support of government.
Iran’s highest worth of annual technical-engineering exports was $4.3 billion in the Iranian calendar year 1390 (March 2011-March 2012), while the figure fell to $2.3 billion in the calendar year 1391 and to $1.2 billion in the past calendar year, as the result of more Western sanctions imposed against the country over its nuclear program, the official stated.
In July 2014, the secretary of International Consultants and Contractors Association of Iran (ICCA) said the country’s annual technical and engineering exports value is projected to reach $10 billion in less than five years.
