IRAO Ejaz censured

ISLAMABAD: Ejaz Hussain, Inland Revenue Audit Officer (IRAO) (BS-16), RTO, Multan, has been censured

The disciplinary proceedings were initiated against the officer on account of charges, while. Capt (r) Yasir Ali, Commissioner-IR, RTO, Multan, was appointed as inquiry officer.

The Inquiry officer submitted his report with the findings that charges levelled against the accused officer were partially established. Based on the findings of the inquiry officer a show-cause notice was served upon the accused IRAO.

The accused officer filed written reply to the show-cause notice and requested for personal hearing. Chief (Management), being authorized officer, provided an opportunity of personal hearing. After considering facts of the case and explanation of the accused officer Chief (Mgt) being authorized officer imposed minor penalty of “censure”.

The officer also filed appeal before the Member (Admn) being appellate authority. The appellate authority provided an opportunity of personal hearing. After having gone through facts of the case, relevant record and verbal submission, the Member accepted the appeal and set-aside the minor penalty of censure imposed upon Ejaz Hussain.
