BAGHDAD: Iraqi Oil Minister said that the problem of Kirkuk oil has been solved and Kirkuk oil exported to Cyhan Port in Turkey, based on the recent Erbil and Baghdad agreement.
In an interview with the Qatari newspaper, Iraqi Oil Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi stated that the current volume of Kirkuk oil exportation is 175,000 bpd.
Furthermore, the process of oil export of Kirkuk started after Kirkuk oil pipelines were merged with Kurdistan Region’s oil pipeline which exported Kurdistan oil to Turkish Cyhan Port.
Abdul-Mahdi mentioned that Iraq will increase its oil production to four million oil barrels per day in the near future.
Oil Minister Spokesman Assem Jihad noted that in December 2014, Iraq has exported 2.94m oil barrel per day.
Moreover, Jihad said that in December 2014, the oil price for per barrel was US $57 and the total oil income of Iraq in December was $5.24 billion
