Ireland authorities seize ketamine worth €1.3m

DUBLIN: Around €1.3m worth of ketamine has been seized in Garda operations carried in the Dublin and Kildare regions.

A car was searched in Chapelizod Village in Dublin at around 5pm here the other day.

Some two kilos of ketamine worth €140,000 was seized and three men were arrested.

Follow-up searches were carried out and a further 17 kilos of the drug was discovered along with other drug trafficking paraphernalia at a storage facility in Straffan.

The three men aged 18, 32 and 36 are currently being detained at Clondalkin Garda station.

These seizures are the largest hauls of ketamine in the history of the State.
